2025 Student Submissions are now closed.

Embark on a mission to create a project that addresses a real-world problem, aligning with one or more of our six festival themes. Utilize the scientific method or engineering design process to develop your solution.

Top projects from every U.S. state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories will be selected as Finalists. These finalists will move forward to the second round by submitting a video explanation of their project.

Up to 130 National Champions will earn a trip to the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C., in March 2025, including round-trip transportation and hotel accommodations. At the event, Champions will showcase their projects to some of the nation’s top leaders, including corporate executives and media representatives.

*If you presented at the 2024 National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C., you are eligible for this year’s Festival. Please note that submissions must be new, original projects and cannot be the same ones presented at last year’s festival, even if you've conducted updated research or iterated on your 2024 submission.
